Dear friends,

The market responded very positively to the concept of the ‘Thumb-Driven-Device’ promoted on the jackito.com website since July 2004.

We would like to offer our warmest thanks to all those who, through criticism, encouragement or sheer hard work, have contributed to the flowering of ‘Thumb Driven Devices’.

Jackito orders have been received from some major companies:

- Samsung in November 2005 (Samsung is interested in the Jackito, explaining that they are working in the field of Touch-User-Interface at the Interaction Lab of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology - Suwon, Korea).
- Nokia in January 2006, etc.

Other major companies have shown their interest

in this new ergonomic approach:

- In April 2005, Microsoft with the University of Maryland published a study called ‘Thumb-Driven-Interface’ which referred to two key products: the Jackito and Apple’s iPod.
- Apple, in a series of patents concerning the ‘Touch-Screen-Interface’.
- The star of the recent CEBIT exhibition in Hanover in March 2006 was the UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) category, with ‘Origami’ machines offering the first Thumb-Driven-Interfaces.
Offered on a Windows/Intel platform, there were Origami products from Samsung, Asus, Founder, IT’S Label, TabletKiosk, and others, etc.

These developments move us on to a second phase in our story,

which will unveil in the very near future.

To make sure you are one of the first to find out about it, please leave us your email address.

See you soon!
The Jackito team.
